‘Et voila, my business cards in corporeal form. The photograph seems to have brought out more dust than is actually visible on the cards, and the colours appear dull here; in truth they’re suitably vibrant, and I’m pleased that my dark purples haven’t come out of Vistaprint’s machines looking wan.
I went with Vistaprint because the prices were reasonable and they could actually deliver within my 10-day deadline. I’ve actually gotten them a few days early on a priority print run, which is nice. It’s a good, glossy finish and like I said, the colours look fine. The only criticism I could make is that about half a dozen cards have been cut with white lines left at the bottom - presumably an accepted casualty in any die-cut(?) print run.
I expect that 50-odd cards will be more than adequate for my needs. As I’ve mentioned, I shall be attending the Women in Games Jobs meetup this Wednesday, so in the unlikely event that anyone reading this is going as well.. see you there!’

Business Card
Today I set out to finally order a run of business cards. It’s been a long while since I went out networking - though not from lack of want - and I’d missed my chance the last time I attended a conference (that was GLS 5.0, in 2009). It’s unlikely I’ll actually need them, but as I’ll be attending Women in Games Jobs’ first meetup in London, it does me good to be prepared.
The design is nothing special - just a reshuffle of the basic elements from my website, as I felt things should be. It is, after all, my personal branding. I ordered a small run of 50, with a glossy finish; I look forward to seeing how they look!

Curriculum Vitae
‘I’ve been revamping my CV for the past few days, giving it a nudge from being a plain old OpenOffice Write document. Naturally, I opted for a raypunk theme to match my website.
It’s been a fun project, not least because it gave me more chances to experiment with Adobe InDesign; it’s also allowed me to think carefully about the design of a single document, rather than focusing on quite generic templates which might suit a design document.
The CV is available in PDF format at my website.’

Google Sketchup logo
‘I had to draw this up as I struggled to find the logo in vector or icon format, and yet I needed it for an icon pack of my own. The design is, of course, copyrighted to Google; I share it in the hopes it can be of benefit to other icon designers. The EPS file is available for download in my deviantART gallery.’

Aetheric Ludometer logo:
This newest venture of mine has been live for a little while, but now it has a raypunk-themed logo! There was nothing of great challenge here, but I did enjoy working with an unusual colour scheme. I’ve been stuck in blacks, purples and neon blues for far too long.
You can check in with the Aetheric Ludometer over here, for all your cartographic and game design designing needs!

Raygun Gothic site map
I’m not really sure why I did this, but it’s been an age since I played with typography, and I like playing with justified text. The map doesn’t set out more than a very basic geography, though - it’s pure whimsy. This is just how my brain works.

Raygun Gothic mk. II
Still not arts - sorry!
I developed my first raypunk “Raygun Gothic” theme back in January 2009. One theme lasting unchanged for a year and a half must surely be a new record for me! Still, a few shortcuts and wonky bits have bugged me, and a renovation gave me the perfect excuse to learn CSS. I’m a long way off my goal (to develop whole themes for Tumblr and Wordress) but this is a huge stepping stone for me, as I am no coder by any means.
The page can be viewed live at raygun-gothic.net/extropia.php. The other project pages will be rolled out really quite swiftly now that my CSS template is solid in Firefox.
